Granny's Brandy Butter

This is a traditional sauce to go with Christmas pudding.

Ingredients
60 g
soft Irish butter
120 g
icing sugar
1
hens egg
60 g
Traidcraft Fair Trade almonds
100 ml
double cream
45 ml
brandy

Preparation
Whizz the almonds in a food blender until fine and powdery.
Mix the butter and sugar together with a fork (in a mixing bowl) until creamy.
Add the egg and mix well.
Add the whizzed almonds and mix.
Stir in the cream, and add the brandy.
Mix, and chill in the fridge overnight.
To serve
Serve with Christmas pudding.
Variations
A little more brandy maybe?
